Primarily responsible for day-to-day operations, programming, fundraising, technical operations, and public relations of the station. Working with the staff, the Community Advisory Board (CAB), and the community, the Station Manager is responsible for monitoring and guiding the station to ensure efficient and quality operation while striving to maintain financial viability. They ensure compliance with public radio, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) standards and guidelines, and Hopi cultural values.

Marketing Coordinator - KUYI - Hopi Radio

Full-Time - 40 hours/week

Salary: $25,000-$30,000/year, based on experience


Primarily responsible for fundraising and resource development to maintain KUYI operations. Main focus is on raising non-Federal financial support through underwriting, merchandise sales, donors, contributions, planned giving, in-kind donations of goods & services, memberships, volunteer recruitment, and general station support through outreach. Works closely with The Hopi Foundation staff to ensure financial reporting and management of station resources and financial contracts.

Operations Coordinator - KUYI - Hopi Radio

Full-Time - 20 hours/week

Salary: Starting at $25,000/year, based on experience


Primarily responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, upkeep and cleanliness of KUYI broadcast equipment at both stations (88.1FM & 89.1LPFM) and at the tower while ensuring compliance with required Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Hopi Foundation and KUYI rules and regulations. The Operations Assistant also is responsible for adherence to the KUYI on-air broadcast schedule, ensuring audio content is scheduled and functioning properly both live and when automated. The Operations Assistant provides technical assistance with regular computer maintenance and ensures our webcast stream is functional. The Operations Assistance also coordinates the engineering of live remote broadcasts and instructs Hopi High radio class in an educational institution. The Operations Assistant also supports daily business operations of the station, such as on-air DJ’ing, as needed. Perform other duties as assigned and reports directly to the Station Manager or designee.
